The hardest thing is... I know I deserve better... and I've tried to walk away... but he just keeps dragging me back in. I do have feelings for him, but at this point I'd give just about anything to make those feelings go away. Last night was kind of the last straw. And this morning, as I turned on my car stereo, a song started playing that really hit me hard. It's called, "The War is Over" by Kelly Clarkson, and it talks about the battle of trying to get over someone because you deserve better. I just keep listening to it over and over, hoping it will help give me the strength I need to walk away for real this time. I want the war to be over... I just didn't expect to be the one to end it.

Walking away...
I feel like I've been riding an emotional roller coaster the past few months... and frankly, I want off. I made the mistake of letting my guard down and have once again paid the price. He seemed kind. And funny. And I really loved being around him. But... in reality... he's kinda a loser. I'm pretty sure he's lied to me on more than one occasion and he can't make a commitment to save his life. All I'm left with are empty promises and regret.
