Finally February?!

It's been a while since I've had the chance to update this... too much of my time has been devoted to my school work the past few weeks.  So, I figured while I had a small break in homework, I'd get an entry in.  First off, I'm so grateful that my teachers have been so understanding when it's come to my health problems.  They've been very accommodating and considerate, which has been a major blessing (it's good to know that I won't be flunking out of school because of my attendance record!)  This semester is going to be a tough one, mostly due to the amount of homework.  I really enjoy my Advanced Creative Writing class, as well as my Literary Magazine Production class.  I feel like I'm learning a lot and being very productive.

I'm once again thankful for Malarie and the friendship we've formed.  Our friendship continues to grow and it's good to have someone to talk to, as well as someone to force me to get out of the house and be social. ;)  The plan, as of right now, is that she'll be moving into our apartment in May, so that will be fun!

I'm grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel.  I know that my Heavenly Father knows what's best for me, even if that requires quite a bit of patience on my end.  I know that prayers are answered, and that sometimes the answer is not necessarily "yes" or "no," but sometimes "wait" or "not yet."

Little Christmas Miracles

I'm so grateful that this past weekend I could travel to Salt Lake City with Cheryl and Malarie. We were able to get to and from safely, despite the snow. We also had the opportunity to spend almost 4 1/2 hours in the SLC temple. It was so beautiful and spiritual. I'm also glad that I've had the chance to get to know Malarie better. She is a friend in the gospel and a great example. We have a lot in common and I think our friendship will continue to grow.

I'm also thankful for the random Christmas angels who have helped to push my car out when it's been stuck in the snow the last couple of days.

End of Semester

Today was my last final of the semester. And I am so very grateful that it's all over. I worked really hard this semester and was constantly doing homework. So, it will be so nice to have a month off before it all starts back up again.

I'm also grateful for nice, warm boots as it's been snowy for the past few days.

The beginning...

I had the opportunity to sing a solo in my ward's Christmas program today. I sang "Joseph's Song," from The Forgotten Carols, and I feel it went fairly well. I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for my talents and the opportunity to share them with others.

I also ran into an old friend who I hadn't seen for a couple years. It was fun to recall memories of each other and catch up on our lives now. He has moved back to town, so I hope to see him again sometime.
